Merit was the construction management team on this ore import and transfer facility project.
The facility included:
- Berthing and offloading facilities for 40,000 ton ore freighters.
- Ore stockpiling and storage yard with 63,000 ton capacity.
- Water effluent recovery and treatment facility for interception, recover and treatment of all storage pile facility run-off and drainage.
- Wet ore reclaim and drying circuit featuring a 12.5' dia. X 126' long propane fired rotary dryer complete with breeching chamber and dust collection system.
- Dry ore primary and secondary crushing and screening system complete with dust collection.
- Truckload out silo with a 2,600 ton dry ore storage capacity and twin truck loadout bays.
