A Cambior, Golden Star and State of Guyana Joint Venture, Omai Gold ProjectOmai Gold Mine Project, Guyana, South AmericaMerit provided construction management services to Omai Gold Mines which included the 12,000 tonne/day mill, blending 3 parts hard ore with 1 part saprolitic or alluvial ore. Single stage Crushing utilizing a 54" x 74" Gyratory Crusher. The stockpiler is a radial/luffing type with a 48" conveyor belt. The Coarse Ore Reclaim system uses (4) 5'x7' vibratory feeders and (2) 5'x12' apron feeders. An Emergency Dump Hopper is also provided complete with a 6'x12' apron feeder for saprolite reclaiming. The 2 stage grinding is done using a 30'x13' SAG Mill, a 5'-6" Short Head Crusher and (2) Ball Mills. Grinding is followed with Cyclone gravity separation, Thickening, Leach, CIP, Carbon Recovery, Electrowinning and Refinery Circuits.
